It is becoming more likely that the ILA will stage a strike when its contract runs out at midnight on October 1st, 2024. All U.S. East and Gulf Coast ports/terminals will be closed if strike occurs until further notice.

Additionally, we encourage clients to pick up and return the container before October 1st, 2024 in any of the U.S. East or Gulf Coast ports/terminals. Otherwise, the containers will be stuck in the ports/terminals, and you may be subject to detention and demurrage charges if there's any. The carriers will not cover or reimburse any chassis or other third-party charges relate to the strike.
